Executive Committee
The Executive Committee provides the Society's strategic leadership, governance and coordination, working with each team to deliver its education, research, events and professional engagement programme.

Andrew supports committee coordination, programme delivery and the member experience as Vice President.

Kevin supports the Society's administration, records and committee communication as Secretary.

Vishnu Ramanathan
I'm a third-year medical student with a keen interest in surgery. Outside medicine, I enjoy playing football and I'm a member of the university medics team.

Farhaan is the Events Team Lead and is committed to organising educational, networking and social events that bring members together and highlight the range of opportunities within haematology.

Iman Asim
Iman is a Year 2 medical student keen to explore haematology beyond the core curriculum. With an interest in accessible teaching, clinical case discussions and useful revision resources, Iman hopes to bring enthusiasm, creativity and a collaborative approach to the Society's events programme.

Gurtejas Singh Gulati
Gurtejas is a Year 2 medical student with an interest in making haematology accessible and engaging. Previous work as a student representative and Outreach Lead developed skills in communication, gathering student feedback and organising activities, which Gurtejas hopes to bring to the Events Team.

Develops clinically relevant teaching, revision and skills-based sessions designed to complement students' undergraduate learning.

Sin Yee Chui
Sin Yee is a Year 4 medical student interested in exploring clinical haematology, diagnostics, research and career pathways beyond the curriculum. Experience in social media, event leadership and helping to organise Aston's first Surgical Conference will support the Education Team's teaching sessions and clinician-led careers events.

Darren Appiah-Kubi
Darren is a Year 3 medical student with a genuine interest in haematology and how medical-school knowledge translates into clinical practice. Experience as a tutor has developed an ability to explain complex topics clearly, with a particular interest in student-led teaching and clinically relevant case sessions.

Mafaaz Fatima Syed
Mafaaz is a Year 2 medical student whose interest in haematology grew from exploring oncology and the specialty's role in cancer care. As a former Student Council President and president of several school clubs, Mafaaz brings experience of organising events and bringing students together.

Vismay Trivedi
Vismay is a Year 3 medical student interested in translational haematology, including CAR-T therapy and gene editing. Vismay hopes to help bridge textbook learning and clinical practice through high-yield revision, case competitions and practical sessions on blood films, full blood counts and coagulation screens.

Chiagoziem Nneke
Chiagoziem is a Year 3 medical student interested in expanding connections within haematology and making research skills more accessible to students. As Vice President of Aston Medical Research Society, Chiagoziem brings relevant committee experience and hopes to develop teaching on how research is conducted.

Krishna Herchandani
Krishna is a Year 3 medical student interested in haematological conditions, clinical cases and current developments in the specialty. Experience organising school conferences, public speaking, volunteering and mentoring will support work to connect students with research skills, clinicians, researchers and achievable academic opportunities.

Aryan Sanjeev Bhojwani
Aryan is a Year 3 medical student interested in how haematology connects laboratory science with patient care. He has helped organise talks and educational opportunities as a GP Society Outreach Officer and supported peer teaching through PALS, experience he hopes to bring to the Research Team.

Jesse is a third-year medical student at Aston University with a particular interest in haematological malignancies, including how abnormal blood cells develop and how they are treated.

Manages the Society's public identity, social media, event promotion, communications, photography and digital presence.

Emma-Marie Martins
Emma-Marie is a Year 3 medical student with an interest in haematology and student engagement. Emma-Marie hopes to grow the Society's reach through creative social-media posts, quizzes and challenges, while helping to promote educational events and involve more of the medical school community.

Aaryan is a Year 3 medical student interested in haematology's links between laboratory science and clinical medicine. Previous committee work with Aston Islamic Medical Society and tutoring experience developed skills in promotion, communication and organisation, which Aaryan hopes to apply to clear, useful Society communications.

Sumiran Bansal
Sumiran is a Year 2 medical student interested in haematology and in creating practical academic opportunities. As Outreach Officer for Aston's Gastrointestinal Society, Sumiran approached other university societies and helped secure a UCL collaboration for a national undergraduate conference, bringing directly relevant partnership experience.
